Speech Language Pathology
Speech language pathologists evaluate the speech, language, cognitive-communication and swallowing skills of children and adults. The speech therapist then determines what communication or swallowing problems exist and the best way to treat them.
Mercy speech language pathologists evaluate and treat both inpatients and outpatients with a variety of diagnoses, including neurological problems such as stroke, cerebral palsy or brain injury, general medical/surgical conditions, cancer, etc.
