Occupational Therapy
Occupational health physical therapists provide work injury rehab, pre-employment testing, and functional capacity evaluations/disability determination. The evaluations can be used to assess an employee’s ability to return to work after injury, establish work restrictions, and determine short- or long-term disability. Work hardening/conditioning can be utilized to get an injured worker/employee back to full duty with a job-specific therapy program. Occupational health also provides post-offer employment testing to ensure a new hire is capable of handling the physical demands necessary for a specific job.
