Hip Replacement Exercise and Self-Care After Surgery Videos:
Do not start an exercise program without first consulting with your surgeon or physical therapist.
Regular exercise is important as it helps to restore strength and mobility to your hip, as well as help you make a gradual return to everyday activities. The following exercise program may be started now and continued until your surgery, as well as after your surgery to assist in your recovery.
If surgery is scheduled, please share this video with your care partner, family or friends so they can support you as well. If questions arise once you have viewed the videos, please feel free to call us at (319) 398-6211 and ask to speak with a nurse who can help answer your questions.
