Mercy Center for Memory Health Launches Outreach Clinic in North Liberty
The Mercy Center for Memory Health, based at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids, IA, is now offering appointments at MercyCare North Liberty, 1765 Lininger Lane in North Liberty.
The Mercy Center for Memory Health helps people determine whether their concern is dementia or a normal part of aging. The Memory team specializes in brain health with the ultimate goal to help improve the quality of life for both patients and their care partners, as well as enable patients to stay in their homes longer.
Dementia is an umbrella term for a variety of changing cognitive abilities. It affects each person differently and causes various changes in someone’s mind and their ability to care for themselves. Symptoms may include memory loss; personality changes; and issues with language, communication and thinking.
Mercy Center for Memory Health staff is also available to present educational sessions on memory health.
