Rest Up
Adequate sleep is essential for concentration, as well as to form and maintain new pathways, which is how we learn and create memories.
Tips to help establish and maintain healthy sleep habits:
- Create and stick to a sleep schedule.
- Use your bedroom only for sleep and sex.
- Limit caffeine and alcohol consumption. Avoid nicotine.
- Create a restful environment.
- Limit daytime naps to 20 minutes or less.
- Exercise daily.
- Manage stress and worries.
- Avoid blue light – TV, computer, tablet, cell phone and other devices – 2 hours prior to bedtime.
