Lung Center
Mercy's Respiratory Therapists help patients with chronic lung conditions find ways to live with their disease. They help patients learn ways to control stress, conserve energy, good exercises to tone muscles, and different ways of breathing to help get more oxygen into the lungs and prevent shortness of breath. When breathing is difficult, time is of the essence. Mercy offers patients the option of bundling multiple services in one day. Instead of patients often facing several tests throughout the course of days and weeks, the Lung Center can accommodate multiple tests and procedures bundled together for the patient's convenience. This leads to faster answers and treatment.
There are several different types of outpatient tests and diagnostic services that Mercy provides to determine a respiratory diagnosis or support a treatment option. From tests to measure lung volume to a patient's airway and breathing function, Mercy has the most advanced level of comprehensive services you'll need. We work with you to prevent and educate to promote wellness and early diagnosis and treatment.
Mercy's Pulmonary Rehab Program is designed to help patients improve breathing and gain independence in activities by providing education and exercise tailored to the individual.
