Located in the Mercy Hiawatha Medical Park building, Mercy's Hiawatha ER was the first ER in Iowa available outside of a traditional hospital setting.

This ER location is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week and 365 days a year. As such, it provides increased access to emergency services in our area, which is especially critical given the community growth in northern Linn County. Additional services — including imaging, lab and pharmacy services — are also available on-site to support the ER. However, pharmacy services available at the Hiawatha Emergency Department are currently only for patients requiring medication(s) as part of their Emergency Department visit and treatment. There are no outpatient/retail pharmacy services available to staff or the public at this time.

Additionally, the Mercy Imaging Center has also relocated to the Hiawatha Medical Park to support the new ER. Outpatient ultrasound, CT and diagnostic X-ray imaging are available at the new location.
