Organizational Development
Mercy's education department, Organizational Development, provides educational programs and services designed to meet the continuing education needs of healthcare professionals as well as community education events.
Many of our educational activities are held in the Hallagan Education Center, a large auditorium located directly across the lobby from the 10th Street entrance.
In addition to offering a variety of continuing education program opportunities, the education staff is available to answer questions or concerns nursing licensees may have regarding license requirements and renewals. The Organizational Development staff can also consult with groups on providing credit for their educational activities.
Mercy Medical Center is an approved provider of nursing continuing education programs (Iowa provider #57). Occasionally, Mercy-sponsored programs are intended to meet the curriculum criteria requirements for licensed social workers, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech, language pathologists and audiologist professionals. It is the responsibility of these professionals to review the learning objectives of those offerings to determine if they feel the program content is appropriate for their continuing education credit requirements.
