How to Keep Your Mind & Body Active
Between your job and your children’s activities, it can be difficult to find time for you. By going through the same motions every day, you may start to feel bored with your life. Instead, make time for yourself and try out one of the hobbies listed below by yourself or with your family; you may find an activity you’re really passionate about doing.
Gardening
Whether it’s gardening flowers or food, gardening can give you a reason to soak up Vitamin D outdoors, be active with your hands, and look forward to watching new blooms or sprouts come to life. Gardening can be a solitary hobby or one that you can get your family involved with to teach them about the life of flowers and how food grows.
Cooking
Sometimes, everyday activities that you have to do – like cooking – can feel like a chore. But, if you try to have fun with it and make new recipes or try different techniques, you might begin to enjoy cooking for you and your family. You may even try a cooking class with your significant other or best friend to get you out of the house while learning something useful.
Crafting
Creating wall décor, greeting cards, jewelry, paintings or other trinkets can help you release creativity, as well as provide you with beautiful outcomes. You or your family could keep busy with learning a new craft.
Bike Riding
Being active is a great tool to release your stress while breathing in fresh air. You can ride along a bike trail, around your town, or as a way of transportation to go have lunch and ice cream. Whether you’re destressing by yourself or going on a family bike ride, you can learn to find a sense of calm and happiness while being active.
Dancing
There are many different types of dances you can learn if you don’t already. Search for dance classes in your community to see what types of dances are offered. You can have fun with your significant other or best friend while being active.
