Endocrinology
What does an endocrinologist do?
Endocrinologists are specially trained to diagnose and treat diseases that affect your glands, which are part of the endocrine system and secrete hormones. The major endocrine glands include the thyroid, as well as the pituitary gland and glands located in the pancreas, ovaries and testes. Endocrinologists know how to treat conditions that are often complex and involve multiple systems within your body.
