Mercy once again named PINC AI™ 100 Top Hospitals® honoree

Annual list recognizes excellence in clinical outcomes, operational efficiency, patient experience & financial health

Mercy Medical Center has been named to the 2023 PINC AI™ 100 Top Hospitals® list. This is the 10th time that Mercy has been recognized with this honor as one of the top-performing hospitals in the U.S. Fortune publishes the annual list.

PINC AI identified the top hospitals from a rigorous evaluation of 2,644 short-term, acute care, non-federal hospitals in the U.S. The annual list recognizes excellence in clinical outcomes, operational efficiency, patient experience and financial health. It was established to help identify best practices that may help other healthcare organizations achieve consistent, balanced and sustainable high performance.

According to PINC AI, as compared to similar hospitals, the hospitals included on the 100 Top Hospitals® list had better results on key clinical and operational performance indicators, such as survival rates, patient complications, healthcare-associated infections, length of stay, inpatient expenses and patient satisfaction ratings.

Healthcare organizations do not apply to participate in this study, and award winners do not pay to market their honor.

Mercy Cedar Rapids was also named one of the nation’s 50 Top Cardiovascular Hospitals^™ by Fortune and PINC AI earlier this year.
