Mercy Medical Center expands advanced pediatric services

Mercy Medical Center has expanded its offerings to include advanced pediatric outpatient services in its hospital-based setting.

The new Mercy Pediatric Treatment Center is located within the current Pediatric Inpatient Center, located on Level 8 of the hospital. Services offered include:

• Blood pressure checks
• Wound care (dressing changes, packing, etc.)
• Intravenous infusions
• Blood transfusions
• Port access and lab draws
• Vaccines and injections series
• Migraine treatments
• Urology services

“We’re pleased to be able to offer these additional services to families in our area,” said Linda Klein, Director of Women’s & Children’s Services at Mercy. “Our nurses specialize in caring for children who suffer from diseases, injuries and chronic conditions. And, with our convenient location in Cedar Rapids, we’re happy to be able to help our patients save time and money associated with travel costs.”
