Mercy releases 2015 Quality Report highlighting collaboration and innovation
Mercy Medical Center has released its 2015 Quality Report, Building You a Better Medical Home Through Collaboration & Innovation. The report (www.mercycare.org/qualityreport) is designed as a user-friendly document filled with clinical outcomes and safety initiatives at Mercy Medical Center and MercyCare Community Physicians. This unique report serves as an indicator to business leaders and our community, and a resource for consumers as they make important healthcare decisions.
By proactively tracking quality and outcomes measures, hospitals and healthcare providers can promote a culture of change through improved processes and initiatives. Mercy’s 2015 Quality Report details initiatives and clinical outcomes data and how it compares to other hospitals on the local, state and national level. The compilation and sharing of this data demonstrates Mercy’s continued commitment to transparency of cost and quality measures.
An overarching theme of the 2015 Quality Report, Mercy continues to focus on forging and strengthening collaborative relationships with healthcare organizations and physicians to decrease costs, increase value, improve access and provide the highest quality healthcare services.
In 2012, Mercy was the first, and only, in the area to begin publishing an annual public report of safety and quality data.
