Mercy Medical Center illuminates fountain and garden in turquoise for LUNG FORCE Turquoise Takeover
Mercy Medical Center is joining forces with the American Lung Association’s LUNG FORCE in Iowa to kick-off the LUNG FORCE Turquoise Takeover, to help fight lung cancer in women.
Beginning Monday, May 11, Mercy will illuminate its fountain and garden area at the Hall Perrine Cancer Center in turquoise. The fountain area will remain lit throughout National Women’s Lung Health Week, May 11-15. This special observance is part of the American Lung Association’s LUNG FORCE, a national health education movement with a mission to unite women to stand together against lung cancer and for lung health. Other landmarks across the country will also be lit in turquoise – as part of the LUNG FORCE Turquoise Takeover.
We invite members of the media to come to Mercy’s Hall-Perrine Cancer Center on Monday, May 11, to photograph/videotape the illuminated fountain. As part of the national campaign, we urge you to post your pictures and video at:
#ShareYourVoice on LUNGFORCE.org and by using #TurquoiseTakeover and #LUNGFORCE when posting LUNG FORCE Turquoise Takeover photos on social media channels.
