Mercy named among hospitals with great orthopedic programs

Mercy Medical Center has been named among Becker’s Hospital Review’s 2014 published list of 125 Hospitals With Great Orthopedic Programs.

This list identifies Mercy among the country’s hospitals and health systems that have earned recognition from several reputable sources for their orthopedic surgery departments, programs or dedicated centers.

These hospitals have received recognition for orthopedic excellence from trusted sources such as CareChex and Blue Cross Blue Shield, among others. The Becker's Hospital Review editorial team weighted the aforementioned rankings and awards and conducted editorial research to compile this year's list.

The rankings and awards that Becker’s used to evaluate hospitals were developed by rating agencies that analyze quality and safety data provided by hospitals across the country. These agencies review reported outcomes and safety information that show a historical trend of how a hospital performs in certain areas over time.

Mercy’s orthopedic program offers a comprehensive approach that includes a patient education program, advanced surgical capabilities, specialized nursing care and therapies.
