Mercy nurses named among Iowa’s 100 Great Nurses for 2013
Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids is pleased to announce that three of its nurses – Celeste Barkley, RN, OCN; Lisa Ridge, RN, MSN; and Linda Weiler, RN, ONC – have been selected among the 100 Great Iowa Nurses for 2013.
Barkley is outreach coordinator for Mercy’s Hall-Perrine Cancer Center. Ridge is nurse manager for Mercy’s Cardiac-Stroke Center, and Weiler is Clinical Specialist Orthopaedics for Mercy’s Clinical Improvement and Accreditation Department.
The 100 Great Iowa Nurses award recognizes nurses who have made a meaningful and lasting contribution to humanity and their profession, and are viewed as a mentor to others.
Barkley, Ridge and Weiler will be among the nurses honored in Des Moines on May 5, 2013, at the annual celebration of 100 Great Iowa Nurses.
