Cancer Care
For more than a century, individuals like you have brought friendship, generosity, kindness and faith to the Hall-Perrine Cancer Center. Today, future generations are becoming our partners in care by embracing it, and the walls of this healing center ring with gratitude and hope.
Do you desire to join us in making a difference in the lives of cancer patients and their families? All gifts will directly support the greatest needs in the cancer center or you may direct your contribution to a specific program.
The below areas will help you determine which opportunity is the right fit for you.
Giving Opportunities
Patient Care
Hall-Perrine Hope Fund
Not every cancer patient has the ability to pay for emergency needs. Your gift to the Hope Fund provides financial aid to help cancer patients purchase nutritional supplements, healthy meals, care related supplies, along with providing transportation to and from appointments and treatment.
Thrive Therapy Fitness & Wellness Program
Maybe you saw a loved one struggle with the changes that treating cancer brought to their life. The Thrive Therapy Fitness & Wellness Program program is designed to enhance the patient's quality of life during their journey from diagnosis through survivorship. Your contribution helps patients address their physical, spiritual and emotional needs during treatment through exercise, nutrition and education.
Patient Care Services Endowed Fund
Anyone who has walked through the journey of cancer knows treatment goes beyond the medical appointments. A gift from you or your family will help provide patient support in a variety of ways:
- Assist those who do not have the ability to pay.
- Provide support services, including oncology social workers, genetic counselors, dietitians, nurse navigators, massage therapist, and exercise specialists.
- Offer enhanced treatment options with state-of-the-art technology and equipment.
Education
The patient care you experienced was top-notch thanks to the high level of education and training our staff has experienced throughout the years. Here at Mercy, we are committed to remaining among the best by retaining extraordinary staff. Your support of ongoing education needs and requirements of clinical staff help other patients experience The Mercy Touch.

Research
Hall-Perrine Cancer Research Endowed Fund
The treatment you or your loved one received wouldn’t have been available if Mercy didn’t continue to look for a cure. Your gift ensures ongoing, cutting-edge cancer research continues to be a vital component of the Hall-Perrine Cancer Center. You’re also laying the groundwork that all patients have access to advanced treatment and care options.
Paving Stones
Your gift of $1,000 or more provides you the option of having a commemorative paving stone placed in the healing garden.
Download the paving stone form and return it to the Mercy Foundation.
With the exception of IRA charitable distribution checks, please make your gift payable to the Mercy Foundation, 701 10th Street SE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52403, or donate online now. For questions, please call the Mercy Foundation office at (319) 398-6206.
Creating Your Legacy

Mercy recognizes your profound level of promise and honors individuals who have made a planned or endowed gift or have given lifetime gifts of $50,000 or more by including you in the Founders’ Society.
