Paid Internships:
Mercy offers a unique opportunity for nursing students each year with paid nurse internships during the summer. In addition, scholarships for coursework are available for those who are accepted into a nursing internship at Mercy. Nursing students can also complete their confidentiality agreement online.
Education Assistance Programs
A nursing education assistance program can put you on a path to starting your nursing career, debt-free. Mercy Medical Center has partnered with several nursing programs to invest in nursing students while providing them professional experience and a career pathway. New Graduate Nurse Residency Program:
The Nurse Residency Program at Mercy Medical Center facilitates the new graduate’s transition from an entry-level, advanced beginner nurse to a competent professional nurse. As a result of the program, nurses are supported as they develop effective decision-making skills related to clinical judgment and performance, provided clinical leadership at the point of patient care, and incorporate research-based evidence into practice.
The Mercy Medical Center PGY1 Pharmacy Residency Program contributes to the development of clinical pharmacists in preparation for health system pharmacist positions, board certification, or post-graduate year two pharmacy residency training.
