Alyssa, RN, BSN
Birthplace
Alyssa enjoys her coworkers, positive job environment and Mercy’s atmosphere.
“The culture on the Birthplace unit is bright, happy and enthusiastic,” Alyssa said. “I chose to work at Mercy for the ‘small community feeling.’ I do not feel like ‘just a number’ as an employee; I feel valued and supported.”
Emmanuel, CRCST
Central Sterile
During Emmanuel's coursework to become a Certified Registered Central Sterile Technician (CRCST), he met Mercy’s Central Sterile Manager, Krystal Parrish, who is also an instructor for the program.
“Krystal was very welcoming; everyone is very welcoming,” Emmanuel said. “The team here at Mercy helps me to build confidence in my skills. We work hand-in-hand with each other. I never feel isolated or on my own.
“The whole experience at Mercy has been marvelous," he added. "It makes me feel at home.”
Autumn, CNA, Lead Patient Care Tech
Digestive Health
“Mercy felt really warm,” Autumn said. “I come from a small town where people smile and ask how you are. I was so nervous when I had my interview, but everyone I encountered at Mercy was really nice. It felt like home.”
Tori, CNA, Patient Care Tech
Hallmar Long-Term Care
“In Hallmar, the culture and environment is very loving and supportive,” Tori said. “I have made friends in my coworkers and friends in my residents so incredibly fast. I feel that my peers want to see me succeed as much as I want them to succeed.
“Mercy isn’t just another place to work; it’s a place to grow and learn,” she added. “I have been a CNA for five years, but I feel that I have become a better caregiver and more emotionally connected to my residents since I started at Mercy.”
